To all the saints,

This week I am writing about the Phil and Gail Showalter Benefit auction to be held November 5 at the Mt. Royal Auction House in Pennsylvania. Phil died as a result of injuries suffered in terrible garage fire at his home on July 5. Phil was Linda Tippett's brother. Phil's wife, Gail, suffered a brain aneurysm in November 2010 and is no longer able to drive; she lost her job as a result of the aneurysm. All proceeds from the auction will help Phil's family.

We are collecting kitchen and household goods, knickknacks and collectables, antiques, jewery, small appliances, dinning room tables & chairs.

No large items such as recliners or couches. No clothes.

Please donate quality items!

Contact Linda at 304 229 0432 or email: Linda@ShowalterAuction.com

You may call Ted or Linda for pick up or bring items to Mullen Hall. If you have items please contact the Tippetts as soon as you can.

On another matter, Nancy and I are again helping to make apple butter at the home of Janet and Bobby Roudabousch near Lovettsville. If there are others from the church that would like to help, please let me know. All who help receive a share of the apple butter which is really good!! This will be October 29 beginning at 6:00 a.m. Everyone doesn't have to be there that early. 7:00 is OK.

Sermons for next three weeks:

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away.... Revelation 21:1

Love, Roland
