Spring Yard Sale — This is an indoor/outdoor event held at our Broad St.
location. It is a part of our Lenten discipline of ridding ourselves of
clutter in our lives.
UCC
Events - Spring and Fall Shenandoah Association Meeting, Central Atlantic
Conference Annual Meeting, General Synod (bi-annual).
Summer Retreat — A one or two-day retreat at Buck Hill Campground. Time is
spent in relaxation, swimming, eating, and special interest sessions.
Winter Event — A special event, such as a movie showing, in which
the community is invited to join us.
Easter Bonnet Social — After the Easter Worship Service we, men and women,
don our homemade Easter hat creations and share a potluck meal. After the
meal the winner of the hat creation is announced!
Commitment Sunday — On the first Sunday of Advent there is an
opportunity to recommit
to being a member of Sanctuary for the coming year or to make a commitment
as a new member. A new roster is created and the service is a review and
celebration of Sanctuary’s history and Statement of Faith.
Solstice Service of Remembrance — A service of support and encouragement
during the holiday season for those who find this season difficult because
of loss in their life.
Christmas Social — A potluck meal is followed by the highlight of this
event--the “Chinese Gift Exchange”.
